The challenge: give people something to do together
Yak wanted video conversations to include a shared activity. Participants needed to see one another and play a game without switching between applications.
The response: video and quizzes in one screen
The platform brought video chat and question-and-answer games into the same interface. Users could create custom quizzes, invite others to play and let an audience watch.
Up to six participants could take part in a game during a video chat. Custom questions allowed the same format to support social games, learning activities and workplace conversations.
What changed
Yak gained a product that kept the conversation and the activity together. Participants could see one another’s reactions while playing, with no need to move between a video call and a separate quiz tool.
