The challenge: practice the real job
New airport staff needed to learn check-in, itinerary changes and last-minute gate adjustments. The training environment had to behave like the production application without affecting live passengers or operations.
A realistic interface was only part of the job. The system needed to respond promptly and support training around the clock.
The response: a working training replica
Sartoris built the simulator for web and iOS. It reproduced the passenger-management application experience and adapted it for classroom training.
More than 290 real-life scenarios gave trainees a place to work through the situations they would encounter at the airport. The environment was designed for 24/7 access.
Software and support for the classroom
The work included the application, its supporting infrastructure and access for new staff. Sartoris worked with the airline through regular demonstrations and reviews, refining the software around the training team’s needs.
What changed
Trainees could rehearse passenger-management tasks in a system that behaved like the one they would use on shift. They could practice decisions and follow the workflow before working with live operations.
This project simulates passenger-management work. Course scheduling, instructor availability and training resources belong to the separate training management system.
